Orhan SARAL has made important contributions and services not only to HALKALI KAĞIT KARTON SAN.ve TİC. A.Ş. but also to the Turkish Paper Industry.
He was born in Trabzon/of in 1937. He went into trading when he was 16 years old and was engaged in timber, transportation, raw tea trading and finally worked as a contractor until his arrival at Istanbul in 1972. He got married in 1962 and had six children.
He has first took a step to the paper sector by establishing ORMUBAN KAĞIT General Partnership with his two partners where grey cardboard was produced. Later he left this company and established HALKALI KAĞIT A.Ş. in 1976, formerly called SARGÜNOĞLU KAĞIT, with his partners.
He did not only establish the company but also built up the factory on his own He performed the duty of the Chairman of the Board with a remarkable working eagerness and kept on launching new projects, even when he suffered from a severe illness during the last years until his death in July 2003.
